Description
When the Sun was lonely, departed from his heiress, the Moon, after many eons being alone he took up a friend.
A mere Fox.
They had much in common, both being associated with Spring and Summer and being entitled as Tricksters, it was a friendship that could last eternity.
One day the Sun offered the Fox a chance to be with him up in the sky, to distract him from missing the Moon so much. The Fox accepted and they reigned the daylight with their warmth and jokes.

A redo of an old picture I did back in 2009. It's completely different than how it used to be, but I loved the story I made up for the picture that I really wanted to update the concept :')
And also I really really wanted to draw a 3-tailed fox.
I don't like how the picture frame turned out o3o but eh...there's nothing I can do about it now lol

I think the concept of this one is really interesting. The light appears to be coming from directly behind the fox, so it almost seems like the fox is the sun, which I thought was intriguing. To me, the frame helped emphasize this, as when I saw it, I knew the sun would be coming from through it, but the fox was sitting there in front. I really like the depth created by the frame, too, and the layout of the clouds; when I look at this work, there is a clear foreground, middleground and background, and it seems more powerful to me that way.
